Orcas Hunting & Clearance

While we saw whales predominantly along Vancouver Island, we were lucky to have a neighboring orca pod hunting just a bit away from our anchorage. However, before enjoying orcas and local festival music at anchor, we had to get clearance. Not the easy part nowadays but thanks to a friendly officer done. Well done (but it took a while). We enjoyed Port Angeles for a few days, getting food (customs prohibit a variety of foods being brought in from Canada - vice versa) and browsing the web for new parts and interior design necessities. Hope the results will be visible on photos later this months.

Now we are in Seattle and enjoying the kind people all around us. We get spoiled! But of course we did also some new adventures: going through locks, sailing fresh water, visiting soccer game and hiking in the Olympic mountains. Check out our Victoria to Seattle pictures. We and the boat seem to be in good shape and we are looking forward to our next big leg towards California. Plan is to leave 2nd half of September.
